Dryad’s Bow

Dryad Bow

Weapon (longbow) very rare (requires attunement)

A dryad bow grants a +2 bonus to attack and damage. The bow is created by using the wood of a dryad’s tree. The process of taking the wood may kill or severely injure the dryad. Any creature attuned to a dryad bow gains the benefits of the bow as well as the dryad’s curse.

The weapon has the following additional properties:

Entangle Arrow (3/day): You may shoot an arrow that casts the entangle spell in the area where it strikes the ground or if it hits a creature starting from its space. Spell save DC 14.

Tree Stride: Once per turn, you may use your move action to magically step within one living tree and emerge from a second living tree within 30 feet. You appear in an unoccupied 5 foot space of the second tree. Both trees must be large or bigger.

Dryad’s Curse: A creature attuned to the bow suffers from the dryad’s curse. When they step, it will always sound like they are walking on dead leaves or dry sticks. The creature suffers disadvantage on all Stealth checks. In addition, all dryads and other fey with affinity towards nature will be openly hostile towards the creature. The dryad used to create the bow will always know where the bow is, provided the dryad still lives, and may send creatures under the fey charm spell to retrieve it.
