Skinwalker

Skinwalker Disc (Cursed Item)

Description: A skinwalker disc is a circular metal disc covered in arcane ruins. It’s about the size of a large coin or skipping stone. When jammed into the body of an dead creature, the skinwalker gains complete control over the body. Each skinwalker has its own personality and body preferences. The skinwalker is intelligent but does not gain any of the knowledge or special abilities of the deceased bodies it possesses. Skinwalkers are considered constructs and the bodies they possess cease to decay as if the Repose Dead spell were cast on them. A skinwalker can possess a body to a maximum of three months before it must find another. It cannot possess a living body but will slowly poison a living body if consumed or jammed into it. A victim who has consumed or been stabbed with a skinwalker disc suffers 1d4 Constitution damage each day until the disc is removed or the victim dies.

Destroying a Skinwalker

A skinwalker cannot be destroyed while it is possessing a dead body. As a disc, it is vulnerable. They are created through an arcane ritual and can be destroyed in the same way. However, the secret to the creation and destruction of the skinwalker disc can only be found in three evil books: The Mortis Arcanum, Maladictum Das Viros, and the Tome of Alzawreth the Wicked.
