Belt of Monstrous Power 

Cursed Item, Very Rare (Requires Attunement)

Description: The belt of monstrous power appears like a typical belt of giant strength. However, only careful examination will reveal there is a strange sigil roughly etched into the buckle. These belts are created by corrupting a belt of giant strength.

The belt of monstrous power gives the bearer a strength score of 25. If your strength score is equal to or higher than 25 then the belt does not change your score. However, it can still curse you. All belts of monstrous power come with the Monster Head Curse. The curse is transferred once a person attunes to the belt.

Monster Head Curse: The bearer’s head transforms into the head of a beast. They lose 4 points of Charisma and suffer disadvantage on all Charisma-based skills and abilities. The victim can still speak and gain a bite attack that deals 1d6+Strength modifier damage. The transformation resists illusions or magical means of hiding it but conventional forms of disguise such as wearing a large helmet or a thick veil may still work and can negate the disadvantage on Charisma rolls. The curse also comes with a silence injunction. 

Silence Injunction – The victim will be unable to talk about or communicate that they are cursed or the nature of the monster head curse to anyone. 

Removing the Curse: The victim can remove the curse by whole-heartedly dedicating themselves to an organization or taking on a serious responsibility such as adoption or marriage. The victim must remain with that organization or responsibility for one year and then the curse will be lifted. A wish spell may also break the curse. Supposedly, true love’s kiss or the tears of a loving child can also remove the curse but these cures depend on the level of corruption on the belt’s magic and don’t always work.
Destroying a belt of monstrous power: A belt of monstrous power can be destroyed by a Wish spell or if it is torn apart by a creature with a strength score of 26 or higher. Destroying the belt does not remove the monster head curse.
