About this blog

This blog focuses on D&D content specifically for 5E. It’s going to be a bit of a deck of many things. You will find some unique NPCs, monsters, magic items, adventure hooks, and even some short dungeons. The idea is that we are at the Rose and Dragon Inn and these are some of the stories you might hear or characters you might encounter. A lot of the designs here are original and some of them could use a little more play testing. You are welcome to use them in your own games. If you do use any of it, please let us know how it works out or if you have suggestions for how to tweak things, please leave a comment. There’s always room for improvement.

About Ekoja

For the purpose of this blog, I’ll use the alias of Ekoja. My actual name is Shaun. I’ve played D&D from way back in the day with Second edition. Yes, I can calculate THAC0. I’ve written a few role-playing books with Fantasy Flight Games but that was a couple of years ago. I’ve attended some conferences where I’ve given panels on everything from narrative theory to dealing toxic players. I’m married and have several children. I play games regularly with my wife and my kids. I actually have a doctorate in communication and I am a bonafide college professor. I’ve always loved being creative. I love film, video games, books, geeky stuff, and have a strong affinity for fantasy. I wrote, directed, and produced an audio play podcast following some detectives in the fictional world of Freedom City. Check it out HERE. It’s a steampunk, noir-styled, mystery, fantasy, comedy because I’m all about blending genres. I am a Christian and am happy to share my love of God. He has gifted us with such great imaginations and creativity. I hope you enjoy my blog.
